Hendon's good pre-season form continued on a wet Saturday afternoon at Wembley with a comfortable 3-0 victory. As in the previous game at Hitchin the first half was goalless, but the scoring was opened four minutes into the second half when the Wembley keeper spilled the ball and Brian Haule was in the right place to slot the ball home.

The lead was doubled in the 69th minute when Davis Haule shot from 20 yards. The keeper moved to anticipate a Hendon player sliding the ball home from close range, but the ball eluded everyone and ended up in the net. The final goal came two minutes later when Dean Green finished from close range.
