Match Report

Hendon opened their day in the Bucks Examiner Trophy at Amersham Town with a 4-0 victory over the hosts. The games on the day were played in two halves of 25 minutes, and by half-time the Greens were 3-0 ahead.

The opening goal came after just 4 minutes and came from the unlikely source of James Burgess who found himself in space in the penalty area and slotted the ball home clinically.

Five minutes later the lead was doubled, when Dave Maissa Diedhiou, who was previously with Willesden Constantine, finished off a good move. On the stroke of half-time, the same player scored his second of the afternoon, and Hendon's third.

Amersham consolidated in the second half, and the final goal didn't come until three minutes from time when Frankie Wilson headed home a corner delivered by Jamie Busby.
