Update from the Southern League

We have this lunchtime received the following update from the Southern League regarding any restart of the 2020/1 season.

Match under the Microscope #2: Hendon v Weston-super-Mare

In the second of our new Match under the Microscope series Steve Lytton and Lee Allinson talk about the 4-0 win over Weston-super-Mare back in January which kick-started our run of six straight league wins.

Edgware admission confirmed

The admission for our friendly with Edgware Town on Tuesday 8th December has been confirmed as follows: Adults £5 Under 18s £1 Payment will be accepted by contactless card payment or cash, there will be no tickets on sale in advance.

Post lockdown friendlies confirmed

We have today confirmed two friendlies following the easing of Government restrictions next week and ahead of our return to league action on Saturday 12th December.

Provisional League restart date confirmed

The Southern League have this morning confirmed their intention to restart the competition on Saturday 12th December provided that the current set of restrictions are eased on 2nd December as currently planned.

Match under the Microscope #1: Hendon v Beaconsfield Town

The first in the new series with Lee Allinson has been posted on HFCTV as he looks back at pivotal matches in his year so far at Hendon Football Club.

New 4-part weekly series with Lee

HFCTV along with Lee Allinson are hard at work on a new series for Lockdown 2 which will see Lee look back at four defining matches during his year in charge so far and answer questions.

The notices for the 2020 Hendon Football Club Supporters Trust AGM which is to be held on Monday 23rd November via Zoom were despatched yesterday.

Allinson post-Met thoughts

Lee Allinson spoke with Jatin Guntupalli following our single goal defeat at Met Police on Tuesday evening and feels there is a little something lacking from his side at the moment.

We have been speaking with the team at Dunelm, Staples Corner, regarding a community initiative that they have set-up via Facebook to support the local community.

Mazzone arrests Greens hopes

Former Hendon man Jack Mazzone grabbed the only goal of the game on Tuesday night as Met Police won 1-0 in our final game before lockdown at Imber Court.

FA Statement: Season suspension

The FA have this morning released a statement confirming that all non-elite football will be suspended as of Thursday 5th November until at least Wednesday 2nd December at which point the suspension will be reviewed in-line with any updated Government advice.

Saints' striker borrowed

St Albans City striker Chid Onokwai has signed for the club on a loan deal and will be available for tomorrow's visit to Met Police.

Met Police tomorrow

Tomorrow we make the relatively short journey to Surrey to take on Metropolitan Police in the Pitching In Southern League South Premier Division at Imber Court.

Bewildered Allinson bemoans Trophy exit

Lee Allinson was left to bemoan a bit of a Jekyll and Hyde performance, particularly defensively from set pieces, on Saturday following our FA Trophy exit on Saturday afternoon.

Greens edged out of Trophy in thriller

Hendon bowed out of the FA Trophy after a Halloween 9-goal thriller against Isthmian League side Corinthian Casuals.
