Hendon manager Gary McCann said, on the back of the draw with Hastings, "On the balance of play, we're happy with a draw. It was a game of very few chances at either end. We limited them to virtually nothing, even in the last 15-20 minutes when we were down to 10 men.
"I am really pleased with the way we played defensively. The middle two - Michael Peacock and James Parker - were excellent and they were well supported by Eddie Munnelly and Craig Vargas outside them.
"Kevin McClaren's second yellow card was a little harsh, but I told him and the rest of the dressing room that having just been booked, he had to manage himself better and not get himself in a position where the referee could take action against him."
