Hendon ran out 4-2 winners this evening against a youthful QPR XI at Vale Farm.
The Greens opened their account in the 19th minute when Glenn Garner scored, and just five minutes later the same player doubled the lead with a fiercesome drive into the net. Michael Doughty pulled a goal back in the 33rd minute, and Mo Sharif equalised two minutes later.
Hendon continued their good play in the second half and were rewarded in the 56th minute when Garner completed his hat-trick with a fine header from a superb Jamie Busby cross. Just four minutes later Casey Maclaren bundled the ball home, and whilst the Greens had the better of the rest of the game, they were unable to add to their tally.
