Two first half strikes from Ethan Lindo proved the difference at Silver Jubilee Park yesterday afternoon as high-flying Westfield picked up a 2-1 win over Hendon.
Lindo converted two right-wing crosses either side of Niko Muir's equaliser as the in-form Surrey side made it 28 points from a possible 30. Averaging over 3-goals per game in that spell, the Greens did well to compete with their rampant opponents, twice coming close to an equaliser.
Dave Diedhiou had a header cleared off the line before Sam Shaban hit the post, Javon Marquis just unable to force the rebound over the line. The visitors defended well to hold onto the three points that moves them to within a point of league leaders Leatherhead.
Next up for the Greens is a crucial match against Southall on Wednesday night. Kick-off at the SkyEx Stadium is 7:45pm.
