Hendon and league leaders Leatherhead played out an entertaining draw yesterday afternoon at Fetcham Grove with the eventual 2-2 draw seeing the spoils shared.

The Greens withstood heavy Tanners pressure in the first half and punished the hosts' poor finishing when Keagan Cole unleashed a superb dipping strike from 25 yards that found the bottom corner on the stroke of half time.

The second half was more even, although Josh Strizovic was required to make two fine saves, before Nathan Hogan equalised from the spot. Niko Muir restored Hendon's advantage with a penalty of his own when Zak Joseph was brought down in the box. However, Hogan fired home his second of the afternoon with 3 seconds of the 90 remaining to level things up.

Keagan Cole came perilously close to snatching the three points at the death when his late free kick beat the wall and Sonny Wheeler before rebounding clear off the base of the post.

Next up for the Greens is the visit of Southall to Silver Jubilee Park on Tuesday evening, kick off at 7:45pm.
