Penalty pain turned to spot kick success on Tuesday night as Hendon overcame Leatherhead 4-3 on penalties in the Velocity Trophy quarter finals after an entertaining 2-2 draw.

Tope Fadahunsi marked his debut with a smartly taken goal to give Hendon the lead before Ty Butler nipped in midway through the first half to level things up.

Butler's namesake, Niran, thrashed in an oustanding 30-yard strike into the top corner to give the Tanners the lead before Billie Busari grabbed his 7th goal of the campaign to force spot kicks.

Hendon netted four out of four while Leatherhead had two efforts saved by debutant goalkeeper, Erfan Tavasoli, to progress to an away tie with Chatham in the last four.
