Hendon took the league leaders all the way at Silver Jubilee Park on Saturday afternoon, losing by the odd goal in five at the end of a crazy 10 minute second half spell.

The Greens were by far the better side in the opening 45 minutes and should arguably have had more than Nikolai Krokhin's header to show for their dominance.

Dartford came out strongly after the break, and Denzelle Olapade equalised with a superbly controlled first-time side-footed effort from just inside the penalty area.

Three minutes later the Darts went ahead, Hayden Bullas' powerful strike proving too hot for Roraigh Browne to handle, the goalkeeper only able to palm the ball into the roof of the net.

Hendon responded though, and only two minutes later Leo Sery slid in at the far post to convert Lonit Talla's excellent low cross to restore parity.

Another two minutes on, and Dartford secured the winner courtesy of a penalty decision for handball - Samir Carruthers expertly stroked the ball home to secure the three points for the visitors.

Next up for the Greens is a visit to Leatherhead on Tuesday evening in the Velocity Trophy. Kick off is at 7:45 at Fetcham Grove.
