Last night saw Niko Muir become the first Hendon player in 50 years to reach a century of competitive goals for the club, and the first player to achieve the milestone in the semi-professional era.
John Baker and Rod Hairder both scored their 100th goals for the club during the last season of Amateur football - 1973/74 - although both did go on to score more during the early years of semi-pro football.
Muir reached his century with the opener from the penalty spot last night, before adding his 101st to equalise just before the hour mark. He now joins an illustrious list of players in the "100 club", and sits 11th on the club's all-time list of goalscorers.
The others to reach 100 goals for the club according to current club records are:
Roy Stroud (214)
Freddie Evans (191)
Jimmy Quail (174)
Rod Haider (165)
Bob Avis (163)
Miles Spector (151)
Cecil Wise (149)
John Baker (138)
David Hyde (118)
Tommy Lawrence (104)
Niko netted his first goal for the club in an FA Cup tie against Cheshunt in September 2016, going on to score 11 goals in 27 goals before moving to Leiston.
He returned at the beginning of the 2017/18 campaign, plundering 40 goals in 63 games before securing a move to Hartlepool United, and returned to the club in February 2022.
11 goals in 18 games were critical in helping the Greens avoid the drop in 2022/23. Last season, he grabbed 25 goals in 51 games, including that famous late winner at Oldham, and currently sits on 14 goals this season in just 23 appearances.
Overall, Niko has 101 goals in 182 appearances, a tally and strike rate that bears comparison with anyone at this level of football.
Rich congratulations to Niko on his achievement.
