A late equaliser from Harry Hutchinson salvaged a point for one of the pre-season favourites, Poole Town, in Dorset this afternoon.
The prolific Tony Lee opened the scoring for the hosts in the 26th minute, heading home at the far post, before Joe White restored parity shortly after the break, coolly finishing a neat move involving Billy Leonard and Lucas Perry.
Seven minutes later, a fine glancing header by Niko Muir from Samuel Adenola's cross gave Hendon the advantage, one that was twice nearly extended when a defender turned a cross narrowly wide, and Blaise Riley-Snow shot just past the post.
Hutchinson pounced during a goalmouth scramble in the 88th minute to deny Hendon full points from a hugely promising performance.
