Hendon kicked off their Southern League Premier Division South campaign with an impressive 3-1 win over newly promoted Sholing at a wet Silver Jubilee Park on Saturday afternoon.

Skipper Joe White gave the Greens the perfect start with a fine finish inside the opening five minutes, before a neat turn and finish from Hamza Semakula extended the advantage before half time.

Shaun Lucien followed up a Joe White effort to make it 3-0 shortly after the break before Byron Mason's header reduced the arrears for the Boatmen.

Next up for Hendon is a tough assignment away at Poole Town next Saturday, kicking off at 3pm.
