Hendon were good value for their 2-1 lead after 75 minutes this afternoon against Met Police, before two moments of poor defending once again cost them any points.
Joe White gave Hendon the lead in the 10th minute with a deft header and the Greens should have added to their lead before the break.
Ollie Knight stabbed home a rebound from a fine Marcin Brzozowski save just after half-time to equalise before Sol Sambou restored Hendon's lead with his first Hendon goal.
As it looked like Hendon's luck was turning, Brzozowski was penalised for a foul inside the box. Although he brilliantly saved Herson Alves' penalty, the rebound fell for the Met striker to equalise again.
Substitute Alfie Taylor grabbed the winner late on after a scramble to give Met an advantage they never looked like giving up to leave Hendon bottom of the table and still searching for their first point of the season.
