Promotion charging Farnborough grabbed the points thanks to a sleek first-half goal from Paul Hodges at a sunny Silver Jubilee Park this afternoon.

The Greens arguably shaded the first half but sloppy defending was punished as Hodges glanced a right-wing cross home shortly before half-time.

Michael Fernandes was then sent off for the visitors for a punch in a melee to make the visitors' task much tougher, but they defended professionally to see the game out as the Greens huffed and puffed in vain.
