A penalty converted by Mario Noto was all that split Hendon and Boreham Wood this evening as the Hertfordshire side ran out 1-0 winners.
The goal came on the hour mark after Bradley Thomas fouled a Wood attacker just inside the penalty area, leaving the referee no option but to give the spot kick.
Hendon had a penalty shout of their own later in the second half for handball, but the referee and his assistant ruled that no offence had occured.
The best chance for the Greens came midway through the first half when a fine shot from Lubomir Guentchev dipped narrowly over he bar.
