A much improved, but youthful Hendon side went down 3-2 at Hayes & Yeading United this evening in their latest league fixture.
Missing more than half a dozen first team regulars, the Greens took the lead through a neat Francis Amartey finish after 19 minutes and went on to hit the inside of the post and underside of the bar before Omar Rowe was able line up a 20 yard strike to equalise.
Hassan Jalloh put the hosts in front three minutes after the restart and Ogo Obi won and converted a penalty 12 minutes from time to extend the advantage to two goals.
Amartey scored an outstanding solo effort with 2 minutes remaining to reduce the arrears and in spite of heavy Hendon pressure late on, the home side held on to secure the points.
