We are pleased to be able to announce the signing of two new players this morning. 21 year old Andrew McCorkell has signed up for his second spell at the club having previously made 4 appearances for us in the 2016/17 season. Andrew is a former MK Dons goalkeeper who has spent the interim period with a number of clubs, including St Albans, Cheshunt, Egham and Hayes & Yeading,
Also arriving is Charlie Smith, a former professional with Luton Town. The 23 year old midfielder has spent a number of years with Hitchin Town in the Evostik league, making over 100 appearances for the Canaries and more recently has plied his trade at Welwyn Garden City, making around half a dozen appearances before moving on this month.
Unfortunately departing is Taishan Griffith, who is making the opposite journey to Welwyn to return to one of his former clubs. Taishan was one of James Gray's first signings and made an immediate impact on the team, making his debut on the first day of the season at Frome Town. Since then he has made 23 appearances for the Greens, most recently coming off the bench against Chesham United on New Years Day.
We'd like to thank Taishan for his efforts while at Silver Jubilee Park and wish him all the best in the next phase of his career.
