Hendon lost a pre-season friendly last night, going down 3-1 to a well organised Cheshunt side. The Greens took the early initiative with a tenth minute strike from one of five starting triallists, but unfortunately the lead was short lived as within a minute a different triallist scored an own goal at the other end.
Cheshunt shortly after took the lead with a free header and despite some good build-up play from the Greens creating arguably the better chances of the game, the visitors were unable to get back on level terms. Instead, the Ambers made the game safe as a poorly defended set-piece allowed a forward a simple tap in.
A number of lessons for Hendon's squad to learn, and they'll look to put them into action on Saturday as they visit Enfield Town in their final pre-season fixture.
