We come to the penultimate team in our series, Weymouth, a side we've met in the FA Trophy before, in two years, with one tie going to a replay. In 1977 Weymouth ran out winners in the replay, whilst in 1984 we won 3-1.

Weymouth were founded in 1890, and are nicknamed "The Terras" due to their terracota and blue strip. They were founder members of the Dorset League, and joined the Western League in 1907. They joined the Southern League in 1923 after winning the Western League, but dropped back in 1929 after debts had mounted. After a couple of short breaks, one of which was during the second world war, the club restarted life as a semi-professional club in 1947, and soon returned to the Southern League. They were champions in 1965 and 1966.

In 2004 they were founder members of Conference South, winning the title in 2006, gaining promotion to Conference Premier. They have recently dropped back a couple of levels to play at the level we are at now.

They have had considerable FA Cup success over the years, first reaching the national stages when they were beaten 12-1 by Gainsborough Trinity in 1905/06. In 1949 they lost 4-0 to Manchester United at Maine Road (that's not a typo - Old Trafford was being rebuilt), then in 1962 they reached the 4th round, lost 2-0 to Preston North End. More recently they drew 1-1 at Nottingham Forest in 2005, losing the replay 2-0 in front of SKY cameras, and in 2006/07 they drew 2-2 at home to Bury in front of the Match of the Day cameras.
