Walton Casuals, despite being one of our closer opponents this season, are another team that we have never met.
They were formed in 1948 and joined the Surrey Intermediate League and remained there until the league disbanded in 1965. They moved to the Surrey Senior League for a couple of years before becoming founder members of the Suburban League, where they won their first title in 1983.
The club turned semi-professional in 1992 and joined the Surrey Premier League, earning promotion to the Combined Counties League in 1995, and to the Isthmian League in 2005. This coming season will be their first at Step 3, following promotion through the play-offs from Division One South, beating Corinthian-Casuals in the final on penalties
They are owned by former West Ham United player Tony Gale, and managed by his son Anthony and moved into their new ground at the beginning of last season, which they share with Walton & Hersham. The new ground is on the site of their own Waterside Stadium ground.
