The first team were winners by the odd goal in seven this afternoon as they played out an entertaining 4-3 victory over Worthing.
The Sussex side, who have had an excellent second half of the season, were dangerous going forward and give the Greens backline plenty to do throughout the game.
The opening goal came in the 7th minute when Niko Muir converted a penalty after Jake Eggleton had his shirt pulled in the box. A few minutes later Zak Joseph doubled the lead, but a minute later Worthing pulled a goal back through Reece Myles-Meekums.
The Greens restored their two goal advantage in the 57th minute when Josh Walker finished off a fine move - which included him going to ground but just getting up to find the back of the net. Worthing then took the game to the Greens and were rewarded with two goals in a minute from Ben Pope and then George Barker.
Just as the game looked as though it was going to end all square, Ashley Nathaniel-George popped up to fire the ball home in the second minute of stoppage time to secure all three points.
The win has made the Greens position in the play-offs more secure, particularly with Staines Town and Leiston both losing this afternoon.
