Gary McCann reflected on Saturday's match against AFC Sudbury when he said, "When it comes to the performance I thought it was one or three points worthy overall, but we were not efficient enough after good passages of play to turn the chances into goals.
"What was more disappointing was that when they had their first real chance in our penalty area they scored. We didn't defend properly.
"We have lost two of our last three games because we haven't been concentrating enough in defending set-plays. We are having individual players switching off at crucial times.
"And, when you are at the bottom, it seems that every time we switch off we concede a goal. We need to take repsonsibility, individually and collectively.
"The big positive is that Elliott Brathwaite came through the game unscathed. He will have a big part to play in the games to come."
The subject of the end of Saturday's game was broached with Gary and his response was, "The club and I have released statements concerning Saturday so I won’t add more other than my captain wasn't the cause of the fracas.
"We have to put the emotions and frustrations behind us. We have to be controlled because we can ill-afford to lose players or games of football with any indiscipline."
