It is with sadness that we have been informed today of the passing of former player and FA Amateur Cup finalist Rajnar Hvidsten on Tuesday.
Aged 89, Rajnar, who was a Norweigan international, played for us during the back end of the 1954-55 season, making a goalscoring debut in the FA Amateur Cup in a 1-1 draw at Wimbledon on 19th February 1955 as part of a side that included Bill Fisher, Laurie Topp, Dexter Adams and Pat Austin. He went on to make 8 appearances, scoring 2 goals, and was in the Amateur Cup Final side that lost 2-0 to Bishop Auckland at Wembley
Our sympathies go to the family and friends of Rajnar at this sad time.
