The first team picked up an important win this afternoon as they beat bottom side VCD Athletic 3-1 at Earlsmead.

The Greens took the lead in the 3rd minute through Leon Smith, and then Sam Flegg doubled the lead shortly before half-time.

Kojo Awotwi pulled a goal back for the visitors in the 77th minute, but debutant Goldy Capela secured all three points when he scored three minutes later.
