Gary McCann was delighted to get back to winning ways at East Thurrock last night. He said, "I am very pleased with the result, but the red card for Aaron Morgan took the gloss off a fine away victory.
"The performance, however, was very similar to the last four games, especially the two very cheap goals we conceded. But as I have said after all four of the losses, I didn't think we deserved not to get any points, but we were lacking a bit at both ends.
"What we did at East Thurrock, however, was to create far more openings and, more importantly, we took our chances better. We still need to be more clinical and more resolute defensively but it was great to get the three points."
