A delighted Gary McCann said after the win on Thursday "I am ecstatic with the result. We are in such a good place right now, it seems that we always find a way to get the result that we want.
"I was'’t pleased with the way that we started, even though we hit the post in the first ten minutes. We struggled to come to terms with the pitch after the rain and we we were struggling with our footing. It played a part in their goal, but it was also careless play.
"The goal they scored was no more than they deserved, but it was a wake-up call for us and we were much better for the rest of the half. Once we equalised, I thought we were the better team.
"And so it is on to the Game 48 in the League and Game 66 overall. It has been a monumental effort by all of the players. They have, again, done me, and the club, proud.
"Our options for the final may be reduced. But, in the face of adversity, the strong only get stronger."
