Gary McCann was delighted as he reflected on the win at Wingate & Finchley on Easter Monday. He said, "I am delighted that we won the game, but I don't think we were at our best. I think the performance was lacking in certain aspects.
"Did I expect to see the signs of fatigue? Yes I did. But today it was important to get over the line to get the result. What today showed me was how resilient we are and how strong minded the squad can be. We just now know how to win games like this.
"There were very tired minds and tired bodies out there today. And that was the recipe for the performance. The players have give me so much in the past few games, especially on the back of Saturday's win, that this tiredness wasn’t a surprise to me."
