Hendon continued their good form with another win this afternoon, this time coming away from Wingate & Finchley with a 2-1 victory.
With Maidstone United winning 2-0, the gap remains five points with the Greens having two games in hand. However, Margate are now five points behind the Greens having played the same number of games after they drew 2-2 with Tonbridge Angels.
Hendon took the lead in the 19th minute when Casey Maclaren bundled home a cross from Oliver Sprague, and Sam Murphy made it 2-0 a few minutes later from the penalty spot after Kezie Ibe had been fouled.
David Knight pulled a goal back for the home side early in the second period, but once again the Greens defence held firm to secure another three points as the title remains an achievable target.
