Hendon manager Gary McCann was satisfied overall with the result. He said, "I am really pleased with the win and the overall performance.
"I think as the game comes to an end you evaluate how you did and I feel we didn't play with enough intensity in the first half although we controlled things. However, for all our domination, we didn't get the final ball right.
"We were so much better in the second half. We were very comfortable with the ball and our link play was excellent. Kezie Ibe took his two goals extremely well and the passages of the play leading up to them very good.
"It proved that the changes we made on Tuesday night were correct. The reward for winning on Saturday was worth it because the prize-money on offer was too important.
"We are in the hat on Monday and that is what really matters. A relatively kind draw would be very nice."
