There won't be a Middlesex Senior Cup run this season as the Greens were beaten 5-2 at Staines Town this evening.

A side that included six changes from Saturday's starting line-up went a goal behind in the 18th minute when Elliott Buchanan scored. Dave Diedhiou equalised almost straight away, but shortly afterwards Romone Rose put the home side back in front.

Peter Dean, with his first goal since returning to the club, equalised on the hour mark, but Staines hit back twice with goals from Chris M'Boungou and Danny Bassett, and Luke Neville completed the scoring just before the end.
