Work is due to commence tomorrow on the installation of the new all weather pitch at Silver Jubilee Park.

The first job will be removal of top soil, then a sub base of various layers of stone and a kerb edge will be installed. Finally the carpet is fitted, and then after 100 hours of use, the surface is tested so that we have the FIFA accreditation required.

The whole process should take around 9 weeks, weather permitting. Once the pitch is installed and in use, the first team will be using the facility for training.
