Gary McCann was happy following the friendly win last night.

"This was a good start for us," he said. "Preseason is a six-week marathon, not a sprint and the players did well enough.

"It was said we would have a few triallists on show, but in preseason, we are as much on trial as a club as are the players. It is as much do we fit in with what they are looking for, as do they fit in with what we want."
