Gary McCann was delighted with both the result and the players reaction following the win at Kingstonian on Saturday afternoon.
“I was delighted with the reaction from the players after a very difficult week. There was a desire and a passion that made me very proud. We were very good in every position, but I thought Kevin Maclaren and Lee O'Leary were exceptional in midfield.
"There are ten weeks left of the season and while the playoffs are still remote, but it is not impossible. If we can put together a good run, then we can make it. We have two very tough games this week against Wealdstone and Bognor Regis Town, but I believe we can get something from both of those games.
"Our football has been much better since October and and we have improved the consistency of our performances. I have said to the players if the consistency continues, the results will eventually look after themselves.
"Actually I don’t think we have put in a really bad performance since the autumn. If you look at the defeats against both Wingate & Finchley and Enfield Town, if we had enjoyed a bit more luck we could have won both games."
