Gary McCann and the squad make a quick return to cup acton tomorrow evening as they bid to lay aside yesterday's disappointment. We make the short trip to North Greenford United in our opening game of the Middlesex Senior Cup, the last cup that we have interest in this season.
North Greenford are currently on a run of 9 games without a win, a run that has included a 9-1 FA Trophy defeat at Hemel Hempstead Town and a 5-0 home defeat at the hands of Egham Town in the league. On Saturday they drew 0-0 with Aylesbury, who are now managed by former Hendon favourite Steve Bateman. The result leaves them in 20th place in the Southern League Division One Central with 11 points from 14 games. Just Chertsey Town and Ashford Town (Middlesex) lie below them. Aylesbury are the team immediately above them with just one more point.
Gary and the squad will be keen to forget about the FA Trophy exit yesterday afternoon, and get back to winning ways in a competition that we have often done well in, although we haven't won it since 2004. Our last final appearances were in 2008 and 2009.
Kick off at Berkeley Avenue is at 7.45pm, and admission prices are £8 for adults and £4 for concessions.
