Hendon continued their recent good run of results with a 4-2 win over Canvey Island this evening, a result that moves them up to 10th in the table.
It was the visitors who drew first blood when Jay Curran scored in the 12th minute, and it wasn't until Tony Taggart equalised in the 36th minute that the Greens came into the game.
Within another three minutes, the Greens were two goals ahead as first Carl McCluskey, and then leading scorer Jefferson Louis found the back of the net.
Two minutes into the second half, Louis made it 4-1 with his 18th goal of the campaign, and shortly afterwards a deflected strike from Jack Bennett was disallowed. Jay Curran reduced the arrears from the penalty spot in the 63rd minute, but that was to be it for the scoring as the Greens ensured that the three points were secured
