Hendon were the masters of their own downfall this evening as they were well beaten by Hampton & Richmond Borough. The final score was 5-2, and the goals conceded were largely down to avoidable individual errors as most of the starting XI had a collective bad day at the office.
The first four of Hampton's goals were all scored by Charlie Moone, coming in the 20th, 28th, 51st and 55th minutes - the latter from a penalty. Jefferson Louis pulled a goal back in the 75th minute, and then scored a superb shot on the turn with four minutes to go. Any hopes of a late comeback were denied within a minute when Tommy Brewer completed the scoring.
