Tomorrow afternoon sees the first team play their first home game for four weeks as we entertain Thamesmead Town in a league game.
Thamesmead have had a tough baptism in their first season at this level, and currently lie in 23rd place with just 7 points from their 13 games. However, results haven't necessarily reflected their performances, as those supporters who were at Thamesmead on the opening day of the season will testify. Whilst the Greens came away with a 4-0 victory, the scoreline didn't reflect the balance of play with the home side having a number of good chances to get onto the scoresheet.
Most recently Thamesmead lost to Metropolitan Police in the FA Trophy, going down to a 2-1 defeat, and in their last league game a fortnight ago, they lost 4-1 to high flying Kingstonian.
They have added to their squad in recent weeks, with midfielder Chris Saunders joining from Cray Wanderers and defender Junior Baker both likely to be involved tomorrow.
The Greens come into the game with a near fully fit squad. Dean Cracknell and Sam Flegg are both hoping to be in contention, and Elliott Brathwaite is close to returning to full training following his long-term injury.
Kick off at Earlsmead will be at 3.00pm as usual, and we look forward to seeing you all there.
