The first team's discipline let them down once again this afternoon as they were reduced to nine men within the opening 25 minutes in the final game of the season.
As a result, the game was one of the most one-sided games seen in the Ryman League this season, but Lowestoft Town only managed to score once, despite having a vast majority of possession.
The first player to see red was Kevin Maclaren, who let himself and the club down when he reacted to being fouled by grabbing his opponent by the neck. The reaction was entirely unnecessary, especially as the Greens had been awarded the free kick.
The second player to go was James Fisher, who was sent off for dangerous play when he went to play the ball with a high foot with an opposing player also clsoing in on the ball.
However, the Greens held out until the 67th minute before the home side scored the only goal of the game when Michael Frew pounced on a loose ball to slam it into the net.
Credit must go to the nine men remaining on the pitch, along with the two substitutes used, but mention must be made of Berkley Laurencin, who barring a slip for the goal, was in stunning form, making numerous claims and saves throughout the 90 minutes.
