Hendon's hold on the London Senior Cup was relinquished tonight as they were dumped out at the quarter final stage by Wingate & Finchley.
The final score was 3-0, with the opening goal coming in the 14th minute courtesy of Marc Weatherstone. Hector Mackie doubled the lead on the half-hour mark, and minutes after the Greens were unnecessarily reduced to ten men.
James Fisher was cautioned for dissent, and Isaiah Rankin immediately made his feelings felt towards the referee. Rankin also received a caution, but carried on with his protests, and was promptly shown a second yellow card and then the red card.
The final goal came on the hour mark when Wayne O'Sullivan found the back of the net.
The Greens did have chances to score, although they never really tested Bobby Smith in goal. There was one debutant for Hendon as former Carshalton Athletic youngster Joshua Adusei came on as a substitute.
