Hendon's ten match unbeaten run came to an end this evening as Harrow Borough came away from Vale Farm 2-1 winners.
Both Harrow goals came as a result of uncharacteristic sloppiness in defence. The first came in the 9th minute when Saheed Sankoh was allowed a free header to score, and the second came two minutes into the second period courtesy of Danny Leech.
The Greens were given a lifeline when they were awarded a penalty when Jack Connors was fouled, and Darren Currie stepped up to convert the spot kick. Despite an improvement in performance, Hendon were unable to conjure up an equaliser and the visitors held on for an important three points in their battle to avoid the drop.
