In the under-21s game against Sandgate on Saturday afternoon, our skipper, Jared Edy suffered a broken leg. In an incident similar to that involving Lee O'Leary at Horsham last season, Jared landed awkwardly having challenged for an aerial ball.
Speaking to Greensnet this afternoon, under-21 joint-manager Eamon Finn said "I've spoke to Jared this afternoon, and he has had his leg put in plaster. It is hoped that he won't require surgery, but it is unlikely that he will play for us again this season. He will be a big loss to us on the field, but it is far more important that he makes a full recovery."
Everyone at the club wishes Jared all the best for a speedy and safe return to action sooner rather than later.
