The Greens have two fixtures over the New Year weekend, with Bury Town coming to Vale Farm tomorrow afternoon, followed by the short trip to Harrow Borough on Monday.
Both our opponents lost their Boxing Day games - Bury losing 2-1 at Lowestoft Town despite taking the lead, although they had two men sent off in the second half, whilst Harrow lost 4-0 at local rivals Wealdstone.
The two games this weekend are reverse fixtures of those played at the beginning of the season. On the first Tuesday of the campaign we made the trip to Bury and came away with a 1-0 victory, Jamie Busby scoring the goal, and six days later we beat Harrow 3-2 at Vale Farm, with Dave Diedhiou, Carl McCluskey and Isaiah Rankin on the scoresheet.
The other events on Saturday will be the annual Snowball Jackpot draw, the jackpot is expected to be around the £1000 figure, as well as the New Year Draw. Please ensure that your ticket stubs are given into the club shop or to Eddie Edwards before the game against Bury kicks off.
We hope to see as many of you as possible at the games this weekend, as Gary and the squad will be keen to both end 2011, and begin 2012 on a high note.
