Gary McCann has spoken to the website this morning with regard to Lubomir Guentchev leaving the club and also with his reaction to last night's game.
Speaking first about Lubo, Gary said "The management team would like to thank Lubo for his efforts during his time with Hendon. We have found it very rewarding to see him progress, and he has matured greatly as a player, particularly over the past 12-18 months, and he has been a joy to work with.
"The offer on the table from Lowestoft is a very good one, and with his university course finishing this summer, I understand that he is planning to move back to that area, which is an area that he is very familiar with, having spent time at Ipswich Town as a youngster, and lived their with his family.
"Lubo goes with our very best wishes, and we hope that the move proves to be a successful one for him. He will always be made very welcome back at Hendon."
Moving on to last night's game, Gary said "Whilst we are disappointed with the result and performance, I must give credit to Canvey, who were very good.
"They are the hardest working side we have come up against this season, and they didn't allow us to get our passing game going. and it is a result that we need to just take on the chin."
The squad have a chance to put last night's game behind them tomorrow evening when they travel to Thamesmead Town in the London Senior Cup.
