The first team return to Vale Farm this afternoon as they entertain Aveley, who are firmly involved in the battle to avoid relegation. The two teams met just five weeks ago when the Greens ran out 2-0 winners courtesy of goals from Michael Peacock and Greg Ngoyi.
Aveley's league form has been up and down of late, but in their last game they ran out 2-0 winners over Carshalton Athletic. They also had an impressive result in the Essex Senior Cup on Monday night when they beat a Southend United side that included a number of first teamers 2-1 to reach the final, where they will meet Billericay Town.
Gary McCann and the squad will be keen to end the recent run of defeats, and also improve on the disappointing performance at Kingstonian on Monday.
Kick off at Vale Farm is at 3.00pm and we hope to see as many of you as possible at the game, and we ask that everyone gives the team plenty of vocal support as they look to pick up three points. See you all there.
