The first team have a county cup double coming up this week, with trips to Hampton & Richmond Borough and Metropolitan Police on the schedule.
Gary McCann has confirmed this morning that he is taking both competitions seriously, and strong sides will be fielded in both games, taking into account that we are playing four games in eight days. New signing Jason Mason is expected to be involved, whilst Dave Diedhiou is also due to make a return to action following his recent absence.
The trip to Hampton tomorrow evening is a Middlesex Senior Cup quarter final, with a trip to the winner of tonight's game between Wealdstone and Staines Town awaiting the winner.
We last met Hampton in the final of the same competition in 2008, when the Beavers ran out 3-0 winners at Uxbridge. Hampton currently lie in 19th place in the Blue Square South table, having drawn 0-0 with bottom club St Albans City on Saturday afternoon.
Admission tomorrow is reduced to £6 adults, £3 concessions and £1 for under 12s and kick off is at 7.45pm.
Then, on Thursday evening, we travel to Metropolitan Police in the third round of the London Senior Cup. The winners face a trip to either Thamesmead Town or Welling United, who are due to meet on 22nd February.
The Police are continuing to compete at the top of Division One South. Undoubtedly, they will be keen to gain revenge for their FA Cup defeat back in October, when we won the replay 2-0 at Imber Court to earn a trip to Chelmsford City.
They were well beaten on Saturday, losing 3-0 at home to Worthing.
Kick off at Imber Court on Thursday evening is also at 7.45pm. Admission prices have yet to be confirmed.
