Hendon were made to pay for not taking their chances as they lost 1-0 at Wealdstone this afternoon.
The home side deservedly led at half time, the goal coming after 33 minutes when Daniel Sintim inadvertendly diverted a Lee Chappell free kick into the net.
The Greens, having made a double change at half-time, were much brighter in the second half but failed to take advantage of a whole host of chances. Jamie Busby had a shot deflected wide, with Lee O'Leary heading against the bar from the resulting corner. Home keeper Jonathan North was forced into a fine save from a rasping drive, whilst Chappell headed another effort off the line. Late on Glenn Garner had two great chances, but put both wide of the target.
That's not to say that Wealdstone didn't have second half chances, because they did, but there were very few in the way of clear cut chances, but the home worked hard to ensure they secured the three points.
