Hendon were outclassed this afternoon by an experienced Dartford side who were much stronger through the spine of the team. The home side had a penalty saved by James Reading in the 10th minute, and had Andrew Young to thank for two excellent saves in short succession to keep the Greens out. It was former Hendon striker Rob Haworth that eventually opened the scoring in the 42nd minute.
The lead was doubled by Lee Burns five minutes into the second half, before Jay May scored twice in the 78th and 88th minutes, before Lee Noble completed the scoring in stoppage time.
The Greens struggled to cope defensively, but did play some good football going forward, but found Young and his defence in fine form.
