Early goal enough for win

A goal after just 94 seconds by Bontcho Guentchev was enough to give Hendon all three points tonight against a battling Carshalton side who lacked the necessary cutting edge up front. Hendon made 8 changes to the starting line up, including Pat Sappleton and substitute David Boateng who made their league debuts. The match was also notable as it marked the 200th appearance for Jon Daly. Carshalton had much of the play, although Hendon possibly had the better chances, only to find goalkeeper Paul Borg in fine form.
