Hendon have signed 19-year-old midfielder Pitshou Ngopwani (pronounced Pi-choo Gop-wah-knee). Born in Zaire, he came to this country as a very young boy. He joined Norwich City and represented England as an under-15 and Canaries boss Bryan Hamilton sent him to Northern Ireland, and he represented them at under-18 level. After Norwich released him in the summer, he went to Southend on trial and appeared for them in the preseason friendly at LOOT Stadium in July. However, he picked up an injury a couple of weeks later and the Shrimpers decided not to sign him. He made his debut as a substitute at Braintree.
