Hendon were denied from winning another point by a late goal from Bedford's Nando Perna, who scored the winner tonight well into stoppage time. The Greens got off to a good start as Paul Towler headed in a Paul Johnson corner in the 40th minute. However, Bedford had other ideas, and scored in the 72nd from a free kick, with a deflection from Lee O'Donnell putting the ball beyond Hook's reach. However, Hendon's woes deepened after the second goal, with Chris Sparks apparently not having learnt from Jon-Barrie Bates' dismissal on Saturday - the midfielder being sent off for dissent after Perna had scored.
